Trust & Transparency

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 28, 2026

1. Core Philosophy

MathTrain is built for student mastery. I believe your study data should belong to you, and privacy policies should be straightforward. This document outlines exactly what information is collected, how it is processed, and what control you have over it.

2. Data We Collect

To provide training analytics and spaced repetition logic, we store minimal account information:

  • Authentication Details: Your email address and credentials used to authenticate via Supabase Auth.
  • Study Configuration & History: Selected math topics, practice intensity levels, streaks, active recall study goals, and problem attempt logs. This history is required to run the SuperMemo SM-2 memory decay scheduler.
  • Subscription status: Stripe transaction tokens are processed directly by Stripe to confirm payment tiers. We do not store your raw credit card numbers.

3. Processing Infrastructure

MathTrain utilizes trusted cloud services to run:

  • Supabase: Database housing attempt analytics, study metrics, and account credentials.
  • Cloudflare Pages: Hosting files, client bundles, and routing serverless edge workers.
  • DeepSeek API / OpenAI SDK: Standard prompts compile math problems. No personally identifiable study details are shared with LLM providers.

4. Cookies

We use secure tokens in cookies and browser storage strictly to maintain your logged-in state and hold local study preferences (if utilizing local storage mode).

5. Your Choices & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated statistics at any time inside your Account settings panel. Since study data is mapped directly to user IDs, deleting your account permanently removes your history from our database tables.

6. Contact Support

If you have questions about your data, feel free to email: andy@mathtrain.pages.dev.
